The Issues and Content of the Conference
- We welcome all the themes arising from local and global context in Asia. You can suggest any topic, which are related to inter/trans-Asian configuration(s).
- ** The conference will accept organized panels only, and will not accept individual papers any more.
- We will have rearranged each sessions with full consideration to the applications we receive and inform you by the first week of November 2006.
Application Procedure

Graduate students (MA/M.Phil/Ph.D) from any humanities or social science disciplines from any college/university. - Applying
Send us an email application with the following information.
a. general statement of purpose
b. individual paper abstracts
c. short autobiographical information for each participants (including panelists, moderator and discussant), plus e-mail addresses - Deadline
Application mail must be reached by October 25th, 2006. - Language
English is the mediating language of the conference. We accept final papers in all Asian languages. But abstracts of papers MUST be written in English so that forum members can understand for rearranging. Long abstracts of papers in English should accompany final papers in these Asian languages. At presenting in Shanghai, in case of non-English speaking panel presentation, we urge the panel to include at least one person who can summarize the other presentations in English and moderate discussions after presentations. - Note
Second calling for panels does not relate to fund. As a general rule, participants for the conference need to raise their own funding to join. We encourage all students and faculties to find their own travel fund if possible. And we do not accept individual papers. We only receive panel proposals.
